MTSS-K consortium reconvenes for the second progress meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland
From 19 to 20 March 2026, the MTSS-K consortium gathered at HEP Vaud (Vaud University of Teacher Education) in Lausanne, Switzerland, bringing together partners from across Europe to continue their joint work on strengthening early childhood education.
The project is centred on the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) approach, which helps educators respond to children’s different learning and developmental needs as early as possible. By exploring the effectiveness of this educational framework and developing research-based tools for effective teaching in kindergarten, MTSS-K aims to support more inclusive education and help ensure that every child can thrive in school.
During the two-day meeting, partners discussed the next phase of the project, including upcoming deliverables, data collection, the development of shared intervention approaches, and progress on assessment tools across participating countries. The discussions confirmed strong progress across key areas, including teacher and parent instruments, family engagement, and dissemination planning, while underlining the consortium’s shared commitment to the successful implementation of MTSS-K.
